Happy 4th of July! I hope you are all having a fun and safe week. I don’t have any new treats to share with you, but since most of you probably were not reading my blog last July, here are a few things from last year:
Patriotic Ice Pops: These cool treats bring back childhood memories of making Koolaid popsicles. Perfect for hot summer days!
4th of July Glass Block Jello: What summer potluck is complete without a gelatin dessert?!
4th of July Rice Crispy Treats: These tasty festive treats will be a sure crowd pleaser.
Chocolate Dipped Sugar Cookies: These delicious treats are super easy to make and are one of my favorite cookies! These were made for Christmas, but you can switch up the sprinkles for any occasion…I strongly recommend using the toffee bits…yum!
Here are a few more festive dishes to try:
Red, White, and Blue Almond Puff Pastries – Barbara Bakes
Red, White Chocolate, and Blue Pie in a Jar – Kitchen Meets Girl
Layered Patriotic Punch – Our Best Bites
Frozen Watermelon Pops – Fearless Homemaker
Blueberry, Strawberry, Jicama Salsa – Two Peas and Their Pod
Cherry Limeade Cupcakes – Confessions of a Cookbook Queen
And some lovely decorated cookies (since I haven’t been able to whip any up lately):
Happy Birthday America Cakes – Bake at 350
Firework Sugar Cookies (funfetti style) – The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle
A little personal update: I have been crazy busy the last couple of months. We decided to try selling our house at the end of May, just to see if it would sell…and it did…in 8 days! Then we went to visit family out of state 3 weekends in a row (crazy that all the family reunions were around the same time this year). We moved in between two of our trips to a rental house. And we just barely finished moving all the rest of our stuff out of the old house last weekend. YIKES! My kitchen is still buried in boxes, but we are loving our new home!
