Winnie the Pooh Sugar Cookies

Today’s post is short and sweet. My friend’s little girl turned 2 recently and she requested some Winnie the Pooh cookies for her daughter’s party.  These are only my second attempt at a character cookie (the first being the Angry Birds) and I was very nervous about recreating such a loved and recognizable character. They turned out to be a lot of fun!

I made a template to cut out these cookies using an image I found online. I enlarged the image to the size I needed it to be in a word processing program and then I printed it on regular paper. I then traced around the template using a small paring knife. This definitely isn’t my favorite way of cutting out cookies, but it works great for a small number of specialty cookies.

  4. Your cookies are fabulous! I am still working on getting mine to look so flawless–you do a great job!

Can I ask what kind of camera you use? You take nice photographs also. Looking forward to more of your super-cute cookies. :-)

    • Thank you!! I have a lot of fun decorating cookies.

I use a Canon Rebel T1i. I am still learning a lot about photography. Maybe someday I’ll understand all the settings, but for now it is a lot of trial and error. :)

  5. This is so great! You are uber talented! I want to make Eiffel Tower cookies for my daughter’s Paris party but it will be my first attempt! Yikes!

  6. These are SO cute! You did a wonderful job! Do you mind me asking where you got your cutter from?

    • Thank you! I should add that to the post. I actually hand cut these cookies with a knife using an enlarged image I found on the internet as a template. Since I was only making a few cookies, this was much easier and cheaper than buying a cutter. I also hand cut the Angry Bird cookies I did a while ago.

  7. Coming from a HUGE Winnie the Pooh fan … THOSE ARE AWESOME!
